Nigel Ashcroft is an experienced and accomplished musician, singer-songwriter, and performer who spent many years travelling the world with his guitar before settling in Suffolk in 2019 with his wife and young family.

 

Nigel works as a professional musician and songwriter, providing musical entertainment at diverse venues and events across East Anglia and beyond. He writes, produces, and performs original contemporary folk music with The Wild Folk and runs a monthly open mic night in Lavenham.

An experienced performer, he has spent the last twenty years taking his music live to the events, bars, restaurants, clubs and streets on four continents, from London to Melbourne, Bangkok to New Orleans, and countless places in between.

 

As a writer of songs he is prolific, crossing genres, working with artists to develop original repertoire, writing both instinctively and to project briefs.

 

As a creative and musical director he is able to draw the best out of performers, whether that be in theatre, song writing workshops or collaborations.
